100% Nylon Bedford 3 x 5 Ft - Brass Grommets

Our most durable flag. Made in USA by Annin Flag Co. The best flag you can buy.

The Bedford Flag is the oldest known flag in the United States. It was supposedly borne by the Bedford Minuteman Company and might have flown at the North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, on April 19, 1775.

The original flag is made of crimson silk damask with the design painted on. The painted image was made slightly different on the two sides, with the Latin motto Vince Aut Morire ("CONQUER OR DIE") reading from top to bottom on one side and from bottom to top on the other. This is similar to the Vincere Vel Mori mottos of the Scottish Clan Macdowall and Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie. Furthermore, the sword which appears behind the motto on one side, appears in front of it on the other side.

Made in USA

Nyl-Glo-100% SolarMax nylon for outdoor use.

Featuring white Polyester Duck heading and brass grommets.

Double needle seam with 4 rows back-stitch reinforcement.

I have been looking for this flag for a long time. I was so excited to find it at Gadsden & ordered immediately. When it arrived I was so surprised by it. It is far and beyond what I was hoping for. I'm going to order another one just to have a spare, it's that good! Get yourself one! Defend the republic. Long live the resistance!!!

Bedford Flag

Well made flag and the colors are vibrant. I'll be buying more flags from Gadsden and Culpepper in the near future.

Bedford Flag

Bought this flag to give Betsy and the Gadsden flag a rest. Because it was a Calvary flag, it is a bit smaller, but as one of the earliest (if not the first) flag of our Republic, it makes a great statement!

Bedford Flag

The flag itself is a thing of beauty. Well made, with clear, clean, lines & colors, edges are all hemmed, & there are two strong, brass grommets at connection points, & ALL made in the USA to boot!
The only caveat, is that the company has an insert in the box that says the flag should not be flown in the rain, snow, or high winds. High winds & snow I can understand, but rain? For real? It's an outdoor flag, & I don't expect it to last forever, but it will fly in the rain. Don't get me wrong, I think this flag will be tough out there, as it's the best made flag I've ever owned, but as
I won't have this beauty flying till this spring (after I move), I will send in another review after she's braved tbe weather.

Nice flag

It's cool to have a piece of little known history. The flag is great, I just wish it was closer to the original size. I will still fly it proudly for all to see.
